What is an opacity in a object?
There are three types of objects based on transparency. They are, transparent, translucent, and opaque objects.
A transparent object is an object that lets light pass through it easily. Eg. glass, water.
A translucent object is an object that lets light to pass through, but you can’t see the objects behind it clearly. Eg. tissue paper, lampshade.
An opaque object is an object that lets no light pass through it. Eg. tree, human body .
The following picture of a glass of water with a straw in it shows all the three properties of an object. The empty part of the glass is transparent, the part of the glass filled with water is translucent, and the straw is opaque.
